Mindfulness and Knotting with Nature for Children & Families August 23, 2025

$0.00

Led by Yoga Teacher and Artist, Fálki Heiđdótti

Come move, explore, and create together!

Join us at The Orchard (250 Waters Road, Patten, ME) for this free nature workshop designed for children ages 8+ and their families. Younger siblings are welcome to attend and participate with parent/guardian support.

Families will enjoy playful movement and a nature walk to collect special treasures from the land, followed by a hands-on art activity using knots and natural materials. This is sure to be a joyful way to connect with nature and each other!

This workshop is designed for children and their grown-ups to enjoy together. This is not a drop-off event. We ask that a responsible adult stays and participates. We look forward to creating and connecting with you!

Please note: This workshop includes a short walk on The Orchard property through the apple orchard over uneven terrain. We recommend comfortable footwear and invite participants to join at a pace that feels right for them.

This workshop is free to attend, thanks to the generosity of Elmina B. Sewall Foundation and sponsored in part by a grant from the Onion Foundation. If you’d like to support our work, there will be a place for cash donations at The Orchard during the event. You can also make a virtual, cashless donation anytime here on our website.
