Artists
Selected artists, Liz Allen of Local Mud and others, are grant funded through The Onion Foundation. Each works directly with community members in creative workshop settings. Children and families are given enriching experiences in the creative visual arts.
Liz Allen creates handmade pottery inspired by nature.
“Growing up surrounded by the natural beauty of northern Maine has inspired my artistic style. I enjoy shaping clay into beautiful functional pieces of art. I am always exploring modern and primitive techniques, and pushing the boundaries of my craft. Pottery connects us to our roots, to the earth, and to each other.”
Fálki Heiđdóttir is an Intuitive Healer, Guide, Yoga Teacher, Artist.
"I am a comics creator, an artist, and a curious maker of things. I am a mover and a dedicated seeker of stillness. All my practices and offerings are inspired and informed by more than two decades as a professional therapist, my connection to nature and the seasons, and a driving certainty that creativity and physical movement are the best ways to directly connect with the dancing, spinning, creative Universe we live in."
